Ruimte Rush

Created for the "MyMachine" initiative, a movement that incentivises the youth to dream big.

We received 37 children's drawings of which we had to incorporate each of them into a game, which they then would be able to play.

My responsibilities :

  • Game design. 

  • Coded gameplay features.

  • Level design.

  • Animated player melee combo.

  • Animated weapons.

  • Implemented art into levels.

  • Created the trailer.

Levels & Setdressing

The overall level layout as well as some specific sections were designed by me.

Paths split from the centre of the station, each leading to a new weapon the player has to find.

Every weapon collected will help the player progress with escaping the complex.

Animation

I animated a melee combo which the player character can pull off using a skateboard stored in their backpack.

I also created equiping and shooting animations for the various weapons the player will find around the space station.
